Adam Domiński

President of the Board

Pedagogy graduate at the Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz, Poland, graduate of post-graduate studies at the University of Social Sciences in Sopot, a social activist, co-founder of the first Social Cooperative in Gdańsk which employs over 100 people, and a social cooperative in Czersk. He has a longstanding experience in realising EU-funded projects at the Gdańsk Social Assistance Center aimed at people affected by social exclusion. Responsible for establishing and managing a cooperative bank subsidiary in Gdańsk for 3 years. Currently, an entrepreneur in the trade branch, in 2016-2018 director of President Lech Wałęsa office.

Patrycja Satora

Graduate at the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations at the Jagiellonian University. Between 2012 and 2014 she coordinated the Latin American project and “Solidarity Shorts” – an international film competition about the Solidarity movement. Before that (2006-2008) she managed the programme “Solidarity with Cuba” at the Lech Walesa Institute. In 2008-2012 Vice-Consul and Secretary for Culture and Public Diplomacy at the Polish Embassy in Caracas. Co-founder and editor of the website “Solidarity with Cuba” (2006-2008). Between 2002 and 2003 she served as a teacher at International School in Havana. Director of two documentary movies: “Almar Express. The New Man” (2007, 56’, co-production: Village Films, USA) and “Heroes from Maggotty” (2012, 30’, co-produced by the Ministry of Foreign Policy of Poland, Poland/Venezuela). She specializes in project management and fundraising. From 2014 Development Director at Civil Development Forum Foundation.

dr Małgorzata
Bonikowska

Ph.D. in humanities, specializing in international relations (with particular emphasis on the European Union) and communication in public institutions. EU expert, government consultant and academic fellow, graduated from the Warsaw University (Italian studies), University of Paris-Sorbonne (history and political sciences) and the PWST (State College of Theatre) in culture history. Alumnus of two Ph.D. programs: in Poland (Polish Academy of Sciences) and abroad (SSSS, Italy), she completed a specialization program at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at the Columbia University in New York (Fulbright Scholarship). Author of more than 150 publications and tutor of over 100 BA, MA and post-graduated thesis.

Jolanta Fierek

Graduate at the University of Gdansk (majoring in foreign trade relations). Between 1983 and 1992 fiscal commissioner at the Treasury Chamber in Bydgoszcz, in years 1993-2013 President of the Board at Cooperative Bank in Czersk. She served as the President of the City of Czersk in years 2014-2018. She initiated the Olympiad of Knowledge about Nobel Peace Prize Laureates in cooperation with the University of Gdańsk and the Lech Wałęsa Institute Foundation. Between 2015 - 2018 member of the Council of the Tuchola Landscape Park. Interested in the role local governments in the development of the state and the market of crypto-currencies. Privately, passionate about literature and book and film festivals.

Dariusz Szwed

Progressive Cities Network Co-ordinator, Senior Expert of EU Horizon 2020 SCORE Project (Supporting Consumer Ownership in Renewable Energies), economist, expert on sustainable development (SD). Head of Green Institute’s Programme Council and co-ordinator of Energy Democracy project. Former adviser to the Minister of the Environment, Greens in the European Parliament, Greenpeace, WWF, IUCN, World Bank. 2004-11 co-chair of Poland’s Green Party. 2015-18 Słupsk Mayor's Adviser for Foreign Affairs and Member of Mayor of Słupsk's Sustainable Development Council. Author of publications on green politics and SD.
