Lech Wałęsa visits Saudi Arabia
The Hegra Conference of Nobel Laureates is one of the major events, bringing together intellectuals and leaders from all over the world, including many Nobel Prize winners. The event takes place nearby the ancient city of Hegra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The conference serves as a platform for exchanging ideas between experts from different countries.
President Lech Wałęsa is one of the key guests in Saudi Arabia's AlUli, where on Saturday he will take part in a panel discussion with other Nobel Peace Prize winners, discussing the divisions between nations and ethnic groups, the dangers of great conflicts, and the prospects for maintaining global peace.
The theme of this year's edition of the conference, held between January 31 and February 1, are the great social, political and cultural changes and their impact on the global heritage. The guests of the event will discuss the need to pass on key ideas to younger generations in order to promote security and cooperation between nations and prevent new conflicts.
